Playing for Banff: It is the preferred life!

The Banff Rugby Football Club has been ruckin in the Rockies for over 30 years. During the summer people from all over the world flock to Banff, giving our rugby team a great cross section of players with a variety of skill levels.
Both the men’s and women’s teams compete in the Calgary Rugby Union each summer from May to September against teams from throughout southern Alberta. The men’s team has won the championship several times over the years, while the women’s club, which was founded over 10 years ago, is still looking for its first union title.
Players with all skill levels are welcomed to join the BRFC. If you’re a veteran player who knows their way around the pitch, you’ll feel at home with the seasoned players on the team.
And even if you’ve never seen a rugby ball before, we’ll show you the ropes and get you in top rugby form before your first game.
But it’s not all just about rugby with the BRFC. True to Banff’s form, we’ve a very social club and have several functions over the season, making it a great place to meet lifelong friends if you’re living in the Rockies for the summer.
The highlight of the season is our Banff 10’s tournament, where teams from all over the world descend on Banff for the August long weekend to have fun and play some great rugby.
